The most effective way to control the sun's heat and glare is to stop it before it enters your window.

Once the sun's rays enter they are absorbed and begin to radiate throughout the room in the form of heat. Much like a big shade tree, solar screens will help reduce your cooling costs, they can reduce the load on your air conditioning and will help reduce glare and fading.  In the winter time they can help to reduce the cold air entering the surface of your windows.

How YOU can Benefit from our Phifer Solar Screens:

  • Block up to 90% of the suns radiant heat
  • Lowers indoor temperature
  • Provides added insulation
  • Protects your furnishings from harmful UV rays
  • Extremely durable... Also pet resistant
  • Provides Daytime Privacy while not blocking your view
  • Reduces glare
  • SunTex solar screens are mildew and fade resistant
  • Our Corners are Metal not like those plastic ones that fade in the sun
  • Warranty on the Shade Fabric

We custom fit each screen to your home or business.  This includes all types and sizes of windows or doors.  Some of the most common are regular shaped windows, half circles and quarter circles.  We also have 5 colored frames to match your windows.

If you want to add a more distinct look we can add custom grids to each screen.

Whether alone or in conjunction with our Radiant Barrier System, Solar Screens are a great addition to  your home or business.

Frequently Asked Questions:

1. What is the difference between solar screens and window tint?

Window tint is installed on the inside of your window, thus allowing heat to pass through your window.  Conversely, solar screens are installed on the outside of your window, thus reducing the amount of heat that actually reaches your glass.  Independent studies have shown that solar screens offer 2 to 3 times more heat blockage then window tint.

2. How much heat do solar screens block?

Depending on the type of SunTex material installed, solar screens can block up to 90% of the sun's radiant heat.  Our SunTex 80 brand blocks up to 80% of the sun's heat, whereas, our SunTex 90 blocks up to 90%.  Of which our SunTex 90 is the most popular option, providing up to 30% reduction in utility costs.

3. Will solar screens block my view?

Absolutely NOT!  However, outside the home they will add more privacy to your home.

4. What about grid work?

Yes we can add custom grid work to match up with what your windows have.

5. What type of warranty do you offer?

HomeTeam Services offers a 5-year manufacturer's warranty that covers the fading of the screen due to normal conditions.  As an added protection we also warranty the workmanship of each frame for a period of 1 year.  It does not include weather damage, vandalism, pets or homeowner negligence.  We will repair or replace any defective workmanship, screen material, or framing to the customer's satisfaction.  Screens must remain on the original house installed.
